Our journey began with a vision
The Business Youth Academy (bya.org) was founded to address a critical need in Hilo: bridging the gap between potential and opportunity for young people. Many talented individuals lacked the guidance, training, and real-world exposure necessary to thrive. We are dedicated to providing mentorship, industry certifications, financial literacy, leadership development, and clear career pathways. Our goal is to empower young adults with direction, confidence, and the tools to build successful, independent futures.

One inspiring bya.org student dreamed of launching her own body-sculpting business but faced barriers in training, resources, and self-assurance. Through our program, she earned vital certifications, secured her business license, received essential equipment, and benefited from six months of complimentary workspace. Today, she possesses the robust foundation needed to build her business and forge a truly independent future. Her journey is a testament to the transformative power of support and opportunity.
